A pleasant day of blue skies and warm sunshine with the customary breeze keeping temperatures to the low 70s.

Only a quick update today as we have busy this morning.  Two highlights

After a morning at home an afternoon bike ride following the route that we walked a couple of days ago.  Remembered to take the charged camera this time.  Pictures to be seen here.  Churches - there are many and here you can see a new one being built whereas 200 yards across the fields you can see a church.

Pyrgos - the lookout tower with its views over the Mediterranean Sea and a barley field.  In all the bike ride took about 40 minutes whereas our walk was nearly two hours.

The second highlight was the trip to Akretiri to collect Julia and kevin.  Almost a two hour drive as we got slightly lost on the way, heading along a dirt track road across the salt flats which clearly showed as a made up road on the map.  Once we arrived and checked procedures at the gate of the base we eat on in a local Italian restaurant and then went to a pub to watch the first half of the Barcelona v Chelsea match.  Julia and Kevin were waiting at the gate when we arrived at 2300 and after a drive back of about 75 minutes.  We sat chatting to past 0200.  Lots to catch up on.
